During the Create Job process, it is possible that the fault/issue that the job is being created for is related to a particular Asset. If that is the case, then follows these steps to ensure the Asset is selected during job creation:
Clicking the "Create Job" tab will display the first step of the Create Job process: the Building tab. unless the User only has one Building then it will show the Task tab. Once on the Task tab, click the "Alternatively, click here to search by asset number" link. This will display the Asset(s) tab. The User can return to the Task tab if need be by clicking "Alternatively, click here to search by search" link.
In the "Asset Search" field, enter the Asset number and click the "Search" button. This will display a list of Assets relating to the search criteria in which the User must select the correct Asset(s) that is causing the problem. If an Asset has warranty associated to it, this will be shown next to the Asset in the list in the Warranty Resource column.
Note: It is possible to select multiple Assets of the same Equipment Type
Once an Asset is selected, a pop up will be displayed asking the User whether the Asset is still working or not and if it can still be used. Selecting "Yes" will set the Asset as Operational whilst choosing "No" will set it to Non-Operational.
Note: When selecting multiple Assets: if the first Asset selected is under warranty, the next Asset will also need to be, not only under warranty but under warranty with the same Resource. If it isn't, the following pop up will display stating that these cannot be on the same Work Order and need to be raised separately:
Once "Yes" or "No" is selected, the Asset will be shown ticked and the other Assets will disappear. The "Working?" column will also become visible along with a tick box. This tick box is used to indicate whether the Asset is still operational (as stating in the pop up that appears). Tick it to say that it is operational or untick it to say it is not operational (this will already be filled in depending on what answer was provided previously but it can still be changed). The User is then required to select the Symptom and the Reason, along with a Code or Quantity if applicable.
Once the Asset has been selected, proceed with the normal job creation process.
